The census taker had an odd spelling for the letter 'D'. The 'W', as well as the names Sarah, Galva and Charles (their two eldest children) are easier to read.

1860 US Census - David W Emery
Last year I posted the 1860 US Census for my great great great grandparents, Sarah (Dwire) and David W Emery.
I recently tracked down a more legible copy of that record.
The census taker had an odd spelling for the letter 'D'. The 'W', as well as the names Sarah, Galva and Charles (their two eldest children) are easier to read.
