Fred Daniels and children Louise and Fred Jr

Here is a photo* of my great grandfather, Fred (Emery) Daniels holding his two children, my grandmother, Louise and her brother, Fred Daniels Jr in Lake Michigan, Chicago, Illinois from 1918.

This is one of the few photos I've seen of my great grandfather, Fred.

Here is a photo taken in South Carolina during the late 1930's or early 1940's of my grandparents, Louise (Daniels) and Walter Junghans.

Here is the marriage certificate for my grandparents, Louise Daniels* and Walter Junghans.

Louise was the first generation born to a "Daniels" instead of "Emery" after my great grandfather Fred Owen Emery took on the last name of his step-father, Wilson Daniels.

*My grandmother had a previous marriage to John A Wright in Chicago, which is the reason why "Wright" shows as her last name on the marriage certificate.

Here is the birth certificate for my grandmother, Louise Mary Daniels, born April 19, 1914 to Mabel (Cass) and Fred Daniels in Chicago, Illinois.

The family was living at 4647 Winthrop Avenue,  a block south of where they would eventually build the Daniels Apartment Hotel.

Cook County, Illinois also had a birth register.   Louise is listed as number 4024 on page 1 of the register, along with the birth location and age of the father and mother.

Page 2 of the register lists the mother's maiden name, the father's name and profession.  The last column is the name of the doctor.
